MicroMODEL - Seam Version

MicroMODEL (Seams) is essentially the same software package as MicroMODEL.  The main difference is that the user sets a switch in the project setup, indicating that the deposit will be modeled as multiple seams, rather than as distinct, evenly spaced benches.

The tops of each seam (layer) in the deposit are modeled first.  Then, quality values can be assigned to the seams.  Each quality model is a 2-dimensional grid of values.  One grid cell represents the seam at a given row/column location, and the thickness of the seam at that point determines the volume of the cell.

The quality models can be used to generate a money matrix of block values, which can in turn be used to design an ultimate pit outline with the floating cone program.
